Once you purchase the self‑guided route, you can access it anytime and use it whenever it suits you.

However, your experience will depend on the opening days of local providers:

The bike rental shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays.

On Sundays, many restaurants, tourist sites, and most wineries in Saint‑Émilion are closed.

Our recommendation: choose a day when the bike rental shop and the places you’d like to visit (such as wineries or restaurants) are open. This way, you’ll enjoy the full experience without missing out!

 

Is this bike experience physically chellenging ?

Not at all! This experience is accessible to most people with a normal level of fitness. 

You don’t need to be a seasoned cyclist, just comfortable riding a bike.

Regular bike or E-bike ?

This route was designed to showcase the region's most beautiful landscapes, passing through cycle paths and peaceful country roads.

Our bike rental partner offer a large choix of bikes, so this, you can choose a regular gravel bike for more sensations or choose an E-bike for a smooth and enjoyable ride.

What is the total distance of the route ?

The full route covers approximately 65 kilometers (about 38 miles). It’s a scenic and leisurely ride through countryside and vineyards, with regular stops along the way, including luch and photo breaks, so the pace stays relaxed and enjoyable.

Bikes are picked up in the Chartrons district, in the heart of Bordeaux's historic center.

Where are the bikes left when I arrive in Saint-Emilion?

Bikes are dropped off at our partner's shop, in the heart of Saint-Emilion.
You can continue to fully enjoy the beauty of this UNESCO village hands-free.

Can I book for a group?

Absolutely! By purchasing this self-guided experience, it can be enjoyed alone, as a couple, or with friends. Simply reserve the required number of bikes.

Can I cancel this Self-Guided experience?

This self-guided experience is non-refundable and cannot be canceled once purchased. However, the good news is: you can enjoy it on the day that suits you best, within the validity period. You're free to choose when to start, based on the opening hours of our bike rental partner and how it fits with your other travel plans. It's your adventure, on your schedule!
